Eugene Rogalski, Vice President

 

Professional, Volunteer, Creative Problem Solver

 

Gene Rogalski is a native of Buffalo, the City of Good Neighbors, and moved to Rochester upon graduation from Rochester Institute of Technology. He has volunteered at Dimitri House for over 30 years.  Gene is humbled by the gratitude of Dimitri House’s clients, the passion of its staff and is excited to use his professional skills to contribute to its mission.  

 

During the day, Gene creates new products as an Engineering Manager at Xerox Corporation and is a contributor to several U.S. patents.  A firm believer in STEM education, he demonstrates science and engineering principles to 4th graders at Rochester’s School 41 and has a reputation for telling bad science jokes. 

 

In his spare time, you may find Gene bicycling down a country road or playing guitar in musical groups around Rochester.  Through these activities, Gene knows that perseverance and improvising solutions are the keys to Dimitri House’s ability to fulfill its mission to Rochester’s less fortunate.
